Logitech SetPoint problems with wireless devices
Logitech SetPoint is a powerful configuration tool for most Logitech Products.
Usually, when dealing with keyboards/mice, one plugs in the device and it starts working, later installing any software that is needed to configure the device.
It looks like there is a known, yet unresolved and poorly documented, bug in SetPoint for devices using the popular Logitech Unifying Receiver. After installing SetPoint you will notice there are no “My Keyboard” or “My Mouse” tabs in the setpoint configuration screen.
To fix this, you need to unpair/repair the wireless device. To do this, it’s best to plug in a wired USB mouse (along with the Logitech wireless product) and open the “Logitech Unifying Software”. From there you should “unpair” your wireless decide and then, with your wired usb mouse, select the “pair” option to repair the logitech device.
Once done, you will notice the keyboard/mouse tabs appear.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for posting this very useful information. I purchased KB400 after suffering RSI but could not make it work properly till I found this page. I like Logitech and all of my input devices are Logitech. But I was not very impressed by their FAQ page regarding this pairing problem :(. Thank you again for sharing this tip!
